If your expensive Toyota , Scion Key/Remote head is breaking off of the key part, we have your solution. Get this shell case, and open your broken one, and place the remote electronics into this shell. Then dig the transponder chip out of your old key, and place it into its little box place in the new key. I've used nail polish remover to help disolve the glue around the transponder in the old key. Even a girl can do it!!! I  do about three to five of these a week in my locksmith shop. Customers don't have to pay $250+ for a new key.
Just take this to your local locksmith to have the key blade copied from your key. This should only cost $1.00 per side. Maybe more in your town.
