What is an Electronic Cigarette?

Cigarette smoke contains over 4,000 different chemicals, including 43 known carcinogens. The Electronic cigarette is a revolutionary new smoking alternative that looks, feels and tastes like a traditional cigarette, while providing the user all the pleasure and satisfaction of a traditional cigarette without many of the harmful chemicals, health risks or dangers associated with tobacco use, or second hand smoke.

How does it work?

Due to recent advances in microelectronic technology, the Electronic Cigarette is able to bring the user the same smoking pleasure, without much of the risk associated with traditional cigarettes. For heightened realism, an LED has been included which glows as the user takes a puff. The vapor dissipates in a matter of seconds, leaving no odor, or risk of second hand smoke.

What’s in it?

The primary vapor ingredient is propylene glycol, followed by water, nicotine and flavoring. E-Cigarette Vapor contains none of the tar, additives or carcinogens found in traditional tobacco products.

What is Propylene Glycol?

Propylene glycol is an organic compound. It is a faintly sweet, odorless, and colorless clear viscous liquid. Propylene glycol is recognized as generally safe by the FDA. It is used in food coloring, and flavoring. Propylene glycol functions to provide the vapor mist that looks like smoke and to suspend flavor.

How long does it last?

Many companies make outrageous claims about the amount of "smoke" they get from a single cartridge. Ranging anywhere from 20 to 200 cigarettes, these claims are simply misleading. Most pack-a-day smokers find that 3 and 5 cartridges a day will be plenty (or 1-2 cartomizers), and may even keep an extra battery on hand just in case. Of course these numbers will vary based on not only how you smoke, but the strength of your nicotine cartridges as well.
