Macromedia Fireworks MX is an image editor, but a little different with great features to make images smaller and lighter.

It allows users to import files in most popular graphics formats and manipulate both vector and bitmap images with dynamic and interactive. Images can be easily exported to Dreamweaver, Flash (other manufacturer's) and other applications. You can still work with Javascript pre-defined, the Behaviours. Very useful for creating layouts and now supports instant preview!

The pop-up menus can be created in Dreamweaver MX and Fireworks MX, and can be maintained between the two applications using the editing feature Roundtrip HTML. Now you can create a pop-up horizontally or vertically and determining the characteristics of the edges, spacing and size of cells regardless of the size of the text. You can also define the placement of menus from the object of drive, as well as the placement of submenus for the menu item and triggered pop-up page. Fireworks automatically generates the JavaScript code, exported the menus are fully compatible with Dreamweaver MX.

Fireworks MX Macromedia Exchange uses the feature to add new functionality, including Shell and draggable panels. Users familiar with JavaScript and Flash MX can add new dialogs or panels to Fireworks MX. Several of these user-created resources are built into Fireworks, including the Chart Wizard-driven data and the Align panel.
