1. Hoop the fabric correctly. This is a very important element to quality embroidery. Use the correct stabilizer for the fabric weight and type. Loosen the hoop screw enough to get the fabric into the hoop without distorting it. Place the larger outside hoop on a sturdy flat surface, then place stabilizer and fabric over it. Set the smaller inner hoop on top and press down firmly to hoop the fabric. Once the fabric is in the hoop, do not pull it because this causes distortion and stretches out the fabric. If the embroidery is stitched on stretched out fabric, when the hoop is removed, the fabric will pucker. 2. Use a fine (40 wt) embroidery weight thread on top and a fine bobbin thread (follow the recommendations in your User’s Guide). 3. Insert a new Schmetz Universal size 80 needle (or Embroidery needle for specialty threads or fabrics) using size 75/11 for fine fabrics or 90/14 for heavier projects. 4. Press finished embroidery on a well padded surface from the wrong side. www.myembroideries.com For a truly unique embroidery experience - log on to www.myembroideries.com and experience the world of embroidery!
