about usIt all started way back in 1996 when I found myself divorced and raising two small children alone. I started looking into frugality, reading Amy D. and doing anything I could to stay afloat. Clipping coupons was a major part of my "keep your head above water" strategy!! I shopped sales, chased rebates, and collected spare coupons from everyone I knew! Eventually I started selling on eBay, and then on other sites, and then this silly hobby sort of snowballed into the site you see here today!! You know what though, back in 1996 life was tough. I still remember it. The pain has never left me. I think God allowed me to walk through that so that I could bring this service to people today. See, I wish a site like this had existed back then. It would have made life a lot easier. Now, we won't charge you to "join" our site. You are welcome to come in, sit down, check out the bargains, and stay as long as you like for free!! We won't charge you a set amount for chunks of 50 coupons whether you need 50 coupons or not. We wont make you take 10 of each coupon, cause you may not need 10! What we do is let you decide what you want and how much of it you want. Then we give you discounts for purchasing at different levels, and you can even earn free shipping! Then we throw in extra coupons, above what you ordered but we try to stay with the ones you ordered so they are useful to you. When you redeem them you have gotten every penny you spent here right back - and then some! That basically means that if you use those extra coupons every coupon you get clipped here ends up costing you nothing, and maybe even makes you a few cents!
For instance: Lets say your purchase, with shipping, comes to $10.00 even. We throw in coupons that equal $10 in face value from among the ones you selected. If you bought 4 coupons for $2 off dog food we may throw in 2 more free. That is $4 face value right there! We keep throwing in free coupons until it adds up to $10 or more in face value. So if you redeem those extra free coupons you get your $10 back in savings on items you were interested in and likely to purchase (cause you ordered coupons for them!) Your net purchase from us ends up being zero!
I could have really used a service like this back then!! Basically, we believe in the golden rule. We believe that God will not smile down on us unless we are treating his children with respect - and doing our best to help them out cause we are God's hands on this Earth. He was the one who told us to start this service anyway, so we better listen to him if we want a chance of blessing his people the way he wants to bless them! We believe so much in the golden rule that, when we need extra help, we hire helpers from our church who are trying to earn money for mission trips to Thailand, Cambodia, The Czech Republic, Israel, Mexico, Belgium, and many other places. We have even sent bags of coupons home with a sweet lady from our church who is home bound so she could sort them and earn a bit of pin money too. We practice what we preach!
