SMC's EZ Switch 10/100 series are dual-speed desktop network switches that are as easy to install and use as an ordinary hub, with the added dimension of dramatically improving network performance by offering speeds up to 200 Mbps per port. Since full bandwidth capability is achieved on each individual port, the congestion problems of shared hubs are easily avoided. Powerful enough to run your network's backbone, yet so easy they can be used in place of your desktop hubs, the EZ Switch 10/100s brings the power of switching to you. The EZ Switch 10/100 series feature full auto-negotiating 10/100 ports, which automatically detect the speed and duplex modes of attached devices and allow the switch to automatically configure itself for optimum performance. The EZ Switch 10/100s provide a buffered "store-and-forward" architecture, which prevents bad packets from propagating throughout the network. They also feature "back pressure" and flow control to prevent packet loss and ensure peak performance at all times. The EZ Switch 10/100s provide a Power LED, along with individual LEDs that show the link/activity, speed, and duplex status for each port.
