The Romance of the Three Kingdoms is one of the four most popular historical novels of China. The story began in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, a rebellion broke out known as the Revolt of Yellow Turbans, local warlords sprung up everywhere in struggle for the control over the country. Sima Yan usurped the power after the death of Cao You and established his reign as Jin. AD 280, Western Jin overturned Wu, it brought an end to the Three Kingdoms Period.
