"This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at My Word." -Isaiah 66:2
Two men; one named Cain, the other Abel, brought an offering to the Lord. One was accepted, the other was not. One obtains favor, the other finds sin crouching at his door. One is esteemed, the other cursed. How could two seekers of God come out with such different responses? How could one get the favorable attention of God while the other finds himself separated? Could their outcome have been different?
Two men called to be kings, one Saul the other David... both seekers. One is rejected, the other accepted. One searches in vain to hear God's voice, the other walks in sweet communion, and is esteemed. What separates the two? Could the outcome have been different?
