All the caapi glow without the plant!
Harmine is the main alkaloid found in Banisteriopsis caapi. It glows in black light (UV light) and is useful for creating psychedelic artwork meant to be viewed in black light. Tetrahydroharmine is also found in Banisteriopsis caapi along with traces if harmaline. Virtually all the tetrahydroharmine and harmaline has been removed from this product. This is what makes our product unique from most other similar products on the market. Most other vendors are selling harmine which is actually up to 50% harmaline! Weve seen a lot of this type of deceptive advertising recently. Our product is 95% pure harmine.
Our harmine freebase is extracted from Peganum harmala and/or Banisteriopsis caapi using a 100% food grade non-toxic extraction procedure that is environmentally friendly. We use only pure drinking water and non-toxic food grade ingredients suitable for cooking.
Our harmine freebase is 95% pure powdered harmine freebase crystals. The impurities include organic plant matter, traces of harmaline and tetrahydroharmine, and traces of food grade ingredients used in the extraction. This is many times more pure than a 10x Peganum harmala extract. A typical Peganum harmala 10x extract contains an average of about 10 % harmine as well as some undesirable plant compounds such as vacinine and vasicinone (bronchodilators, that also induce abortion).
Description: when diluted many times in acidic water, harmine glows bright blue in UV light and is used to make water paint for black light special effects.
Recommended Usage: Harmine is for use as a coloring additive which fluoresces in UV light. When highly diluted, harmine is nearly colorless but still fluoresces brightly in black light. Harmine is great for creating fluorescent water colors used in black light art projects. For use as a fluorescent coloring additive dissolve 200 mg completely in 10 ml or more of warm vinegar prior. If not dilute enough, fluorescence is hindered. Once diluted, it may be adding to water based paints, water based inks, etc. Harmine may also be used as a fluorescent pH indicator (as the pH increases the fluorescence of harmine decreases).
Storage: keep in a dark cool air tight container free from moisture. If storing for extended periods of time, it should be kept in the freezer. Keep out of reach of children.
WARNING: although our harmine is extracted from organic Peganum harmala seeds using 100% food grade materials, harmine can be toxic when ingested in sufficient quantities. Do not use as a food additive or food coloring. DO NOT INGEST. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
1 factory sealed vial contains 95% pure powdered harmine freebase crystals sold for use as a 100% natural fluorescent coloring additive for art projects.
