The alkaloid mix present in the seed is approximately 80% hyoscyamine, 19% scopolamine with traces of atropine. 1 average sized seed can contain up to 56 micrograms of tropane alkaloids per seed. Ingesting as little as 0.8 grams of seeds (approximately 100 seeds) has caused fatalities.
