Robert Wee was born in 1927 in Iowa and showed his artistic talent at a very young age. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and became an illustrator for a Midwestern firm until moving to California to do his own work. His works have been purchased for private and corporate collections world wide. Wee usually paints on masonite panels with oils. He enjoys the many textures that he can produce using a loaded brush or palette knife on the hard smooth surface of the masonite. His rendering of landscapes have a impressionistic dream like quality to them.
