More about 45th Street Editions
The categories within this collection rage from old Hollywood and Motion Picture magazines, spicy pinup girls to sci-fi pulp detective classics. These sci-fi pulp detective magazines were named because of the inexpensive papers the stories were printed on, and were the very starting place sci-fi writers would cut their teeth selling stories before making it onto the big screen. Gene Rodenberry, one of the most well known sci-fi story tellers, actually started his career writing for these type of magazines before making it big with Star Trek.
Joe Palcich, the artist of many of the original images within this collection, has compiled, scanned and re-mastered this entire line. Most of these images can now only be found in private collections around the country. The condition of the printed originals are found in such varied conditions, only an artist with the proper skills can clean-up, enhance, and print the new image properly for your customers enjoyment.
