Hand Carved Replica 1930's and WWII Steerman P-17 Airplane by Keith Zimmerman
Demensions: Wingspan: 15 inches - Prop to Tail: 11.5 inches - Tall: 7.5 inches on stand - Off stand: 5.5 inches
This is the plane "Harm" owed in the famous television series "Jag", and the plane Steve McQueen learned to fly in.
This item in an all hand carved replica of the P-17 Steerman Trainer. This plane is probably one of the most widely used planes in history. A total of 10,346 were ordered for the U.S. and its allies. It was the primary trainer for U.S. Airman in the late 1930's and WW II. After the war, it became famous as the plane of choice of many barn storming stunt flyers, crop dusters and mail carriers.
This item is all wood, no plastic, no decals. It is not made from a kit. This plane is totally hand carved and hand painted by award winning artist and wood carver Keith Zimmerman of California. Each plane is hand signed by the artist. Materials are hand selected solid woods.
This is not a toy!
This is an incredible piece of artwork that photos just do not do justice to.
We have over 40 different planes available, but it will take us some time to get them listed. If you have a favorite plane you are interested in, email me direct at [email protected] and I will check on availability and get you pictures and a price quote. Serious inquiries only please.

You will be amazed at the absolute beauty and workmanship that goes into Zimmerman's work. He has received many awards and accolades for his work, including Best Of Show Awards. He started painting and carving when he was just 9 years old and has over 50 years experience. He receives letters all of the time from people that have received his work or who have been given his work as gifts, thanking him for such a wonderful piece of memborabilia and saying how shocked they were to find the quality even higher than they could have possibly expected.

A large number of our prints are available on canvas. Check our eBay store under Canvas Transfer category. As time permits we are adding as many as them as we can. If the print you want is not there, email me direct at [email protected] (Item will be listed on eBay) and I will add it to the store inventory for you. (Canvas and Giclee products may take additional processing time, they are done to order.)
Why buy it on canvas? Prints transferred to canvas look and feel like original oil paintings. They also can be framed like oils and could cost much less to frame than a paper print that requires glass, usually matting and a much higher fitting fee. In the long run, canvas transfers may end up saving you money when framing costs are considered.
Visit FrameHouseGallery's Blue Gallery and search over 7000 additional images. You cannot buy directly from the warehouse. You must request the item(s) be placed in our eBay store.
When you are comparison-shopping, please make sure you compare the shipping costs also. Many sellers will lower the price to get their listing to sort higher on the list and then raise the shipping price. We do not do that. I recently saw one seller offering a print for one penny, a print we sell for $9.99 and $3.99 shipping. Their shipping costs were $17.95
Any questions at all email me at [email protected]
Thank you!
The low resolution of the eBay picture here may make this look a bit blurry or almost out of focus. The actual print you will receive is very crisp and clear, just, as the artist had intended it.
