Antique Ledger Book Detailing Accounts of a Building supply & Coal Store in Christiana, PA. This ledger covers the time period: May 7 till Sept. 20, 1903.
The ledger is full of names like: Howard Rewald, Alberd Herr, Hays Golivards & John Geoff just to name a few. We traced this ledger back to possible the Walter & Jackson Co in Christina, PA. A little bit of their history of the store found on the internet: In 1872, shortly after the Civil War ended, Brinton Franklin Walter took over a water-driven mill on what is now South Bridge Street in Christiana, Pennsylvania. Brinton offered custom grinding of feed to the young but growing town of Christiana. Later, as his business grew and diversified, he began to offer building materials, feed and coal. This is a very interesting Handwritten Ledger Diary dating from 1903 with various items that were sold and various names listed as well. Interesting read as it is legible throughout.
At the moment of listing we have a total of 7 ledgers from the same store. At this time we are only listing one as we are doing some more research on these interesting ledgers.
Size is about 11.5" x 5.5". The binding is loose as shown in the pictures.

very compatible I have to keep my prices low as possible. There is not that
much room for negotiation.
