Authentic Tall Mobach Utrecht, Vase Dutch Pottery Ceramic Blue Gold Glaze Dutch made Holland

This vase has been designed and made by Johan Soesbergen.

In the last picture you actually see the maker "Johan Soebergen" working on a similar vase. 

The mark is JS was used a couple of years before his retirement in August 2003.

Johan made a number of beautiful vases and other pottery. All in different shapes and metal glazed colors.

Johan worked 52 years at Mobachs in Utrecht.

In the beginning just as potter but in the 1990's he started with designing.

This Stunning vase is one of his later masterpieces.

The vase measures almost 21” or 54 cm tall.

The Vase is in Excellent Condition. No cracks or chips.

Mobach Modern ceramics, basic shape with a chic look.

Since 1895, five generations of Mobachs have been working with a team of staff in an historic building on Kanaalweg, Utrecht. Through the century, the method hardly changed. All ceramics are thrown on the wheel or shaped by hand from coils or sheets of clay.

Mobach ceramics are handmade articles with a modern design, and are made in small batches or as a one-off. Whether thrown on the wheel or shaped by hand, the glazes and the firing process ensure that each ceramic is unique.
All ceramics get the Mobach stamp, and each one-off is signed by the maker.

Mobach ceramics are trendsetting, partly as a result of their design, and are sold all over the world. Thanks to their basic shape, Mobach ceramics fit into any interior.
Mobach is known primarily for its giant plant holders and vases.

Mobach ceramics owe their chic look to the exclusive glazes, which are composed according to the company’s own recipe. Due to the high firing temperature, Mobach ceramics are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

 

 

Mobach is the grand family of Dutch ceramics. In one form or another Mobach family has
been involved in ceramics for eight generations.

The Mobachs were a family of weavers who suffered greatly during the economic depression of the French occupation of Holland (1795-1813).
Jaan Pieter Mobach (1766-1826) was forced to abandon his trade and obtained work with the
Kremer family, who produced ceramic pipes and roof tiles, as well as utilitarian kitchenware.

For three generations the Mobachs worked for the Kremer family, rising to the top management.
In 1884, Jaan Pieters Mobach (1826-1898) had a falling out with the Kremer family and founded
Mobach Pottenbakker in Bolsward.

In 1895 the family ceramics business was moved to Utrecht.
The eighth generation, Kasper Mobach (b 1961), continues the family tradition today.

My position as dealer is very compatible I have to keep my prices low as possible. There is not that much room for negotiation.
