This is a Stirring Personal Account of the Experiences and
Adventures in the Big Horn & Yellowstone Expeditions of
1876 and the Campaigns on the British Border in 1879.
John Finerty was a Reporter for the Chicago Times and
wanted to go with Custer on the Big Horn & Yellowstone
Expeditions, but was assigned to Crooks Column instead~
thus, he lived to tell the Rich History of the trip & war with
the Sioux in 1876, as well as detailed accounts of the Life of
the Dakota Indian Wars and with the Nez Perce in 1876-77.
