2008 Tombstone
Helldorado Poster
Artist:Bill Roman. One of the Annual Helldorado Poster Series
This is the 19th in the annual series of Tombstone's
Helldorado Days poster by artist Bill Roman.
Helldorado Days are held annually the third weekend in
October in Tombstone, AZ.
As the story goes, many people who came to Tombstone
looking for their "El Dorado"
ended up pushing a broom or washing dishes, which lead them to declare that
they only found their "Helldorado."
When the first celebration was held in 1929, on the 50th
anniversary of the founding of Tombstone,
the term was resurrected, and the celebration was called Helldorado Days. With
the exception of a couple of years in WWII, the celebration has been held
annually since then.
Bill Roman began making the annual Helldorado Posters in
1990, in addition to many other posters depicting events and locations in the
Southwest.
If you are interested in the original oil paintings of some
one these posters, there are still a couple of them left. Contact Donna at the
main store for more information at 1-520-678-0381.
All Helldorado posters measure 24 inches long by 18 inches
wide, (61cm x 48 cm) and are mailed in a cardboard tube to protect your
purchase.
