Wansey Andrews (1801-1877) [American Journal of Pharmacy, Oct. 1877] George Wansey Andrews died
in Baltimore September nth at the ripe age or 76 years He was born and educated
in that city commenced business on own account in 1829 was afterwards for
thirty years a member of the firm of Andrews & Thompson and retired from
active business in 1871 He was one of the founders and for many years president
of the Maryland College of Pharmacy Though not present at the organization of
the American Pharmaceutical Association in 1852 the convention paid him the
compliment of electing him First President and in 1856-57 he served as
President of the Association He had a member of the Maryland Academy of
Sciences for over fifty years and his long life enjoyed and retained the
reputation of reliability and scientific attainments as a pharmacist activity
and correctness in his business relations and of being a good and useful man
and citizen.

Silver Thompson (1822-1894) [American Journal of Pharmacy, Oct. 1894] William Silver Thompson
died at his home in Waverly near Baltimore Md on Wednesday evening October gr
1894 He was a member of the drug firm of Andrews & Thompson and was at one
time president of the Maryland College of Pharmacy He was also a member of the
American Pharmaceutical Association the Maryland Historical Society and the
Maryland Academy of Sciences The deceased had been a druggist fifty five years
He was born in New Castle County Del in 1823 and went to Baltimore to engage in
business when he was sixteen years of age.

MEDICAL JOURNAL, Nov. 1894] Mr. William Silver Thompson the druggist in the
city died at his home Waverly last week at the age of seventy two Mr. Thompson
was a member of the old of Andrews and Thompson and was held high esteem by the
physicians and druggists Baltimore and Washington
