Historic note:
John Lennon and Yoko Ono purchased Auburn in 1980. Auburn is reportly haunted
by several ghosts-the most famous the apparition of a young woman who fell down
the main stairway there and died on her wedding night. The mansion was the
setting for Joseph Hergesheimer’s 1920 Gothic novel, “Balisand.”
