This is a miniature Japanese antique rickshaw.
Japanese call it "Jinrikisha". It is about 2.5 centimeters in length.
It has moving wheels.
You can see two characters on the small silver plate beside the Jinrikisha.
It means "Asakusa", Asakusa is a favorite place for tourists in Tokyo.
Speaking of Asakusa, Sensoji Temple and Jinriksha are very popular with tourists.

The history of silverware in Japan(plates, sake cup etc)is old.
There used to be many silver maines in Japan and in the 16th century was one of the largest producers in the world.
Silverware was recorded in government records(Engishiki) during the Heian period, craftman, called "shirogane-chi" helped spread the use of silverware by ordinary townpeople.
The silverware, developed from the Japanese tea ceremony, takes its roots from "wabi" and "sabi", the highest aesthetic values of Japanese traditional art.
Japanese silverware attracted international attention during the 1867 Paris Expo.
Today, Tokyo is the main producer of traditional Japanese silverware.
Born in 1943 in Katsushika Ward.
In 1965 He studied with his father, Saburo Nishiyama (Master of Tokyo-Ginki).
In 1978 He was certified as a Master of Tokyo-Ginki, and The started Japan Silverware Design School.
In 1981 Awarded Grand Prize from The 6th Platinum Design Contest.
In 1995 He was certified as a traditional craftsman of Japan by the Minister of International Trade and Industry.
In 1999 He was certified as the master of traditional craftsman by Katsushika Ward Office.
In 2007 He was certified as a Tokyo Traditional Craftsman by Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
