1858 Flying Eagle Cent RARE
Here we have a nicely circulated authentic 1858 Flying Eagle Cent from the Civil War Era...surely in the pockets of civil war soldiers. The last year the mint made large cents was in 1857 along with flying eagle cents. 1858 is the only year that flying eagles ONLY went into circulation. In 1859, the first Indian Head Penny was issued and the flying eagle series was terminated.
