This is a really nice Squier by Fender Standard Stratocaster in the highly attractive black metallic finish. It's also a left-handed model, so make sure you need a lefty before you buy it, or that the person you're buying it for plays southpaw style :-) It's also really clean, and I just put a set of new .09s (.09 through .42 gauge strings) on it and gave the truss rod a twist to make sure the neck is aligned properly, as well as setting the saddle heights for my tastes. You may need to set it up, though, for intonation (it had .10s on it, previously). There are no dents or dings and only a slight amount of wear in the form of a few really minor scuffs, mainly along the lower edge of the body down near the input jack, but even those don't penetrate the finish and can probably be buffed out with only a very slight amount of elbow grease and the right polish. I also polished it up using Dunlop Formula 65 cleaner/polisher. Here are some features:
- Solid agathis body - Maple neck (bolt-on) with the classic Strat skunk stripe running down the back - Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays - 22 medium jumbo frets - 3 Alnico single-coil pickups - 3-ply (w/b/w) pickguard and rear cover plate - 2-point fulcrum tremolo with whammy bar - Satin saddles - Die-cast chrome tuners in the Fender/Ping style - Large 70s era CBS style headstock, for greater sustain
The guitar will also come with a generic, though nice, used gigbag, a new Fender-labeled and very basic guitar strap and "The New Complete Guitarist," a nice tutorial book that starts from 'A' and takes a new player all the way over to 'Z.' It'll all be boxed up and packed very securely and I usually ship no later than 3 business days (though I always shoot for 1 day) after payment. I'm setting a low Buy It Now price on this one to get it into the hands of somebody who'd like a really nice beginner-to-intermediate guitar, either for themselves or for somebody else, without having to pay top dollar to get it. The guitar is sold "as is," and no returns will be accepted. However, it's guaranteed not to be DOA on arrival, and it'll come with everything described. It all works very nicely, too.
Local pickup is offered, though buyers will need to include 6% Michigan sales tax on the purchase price of the guitar if they wish to go that way. Sorry, but I can't ship to anywhere but the continental United States on this one. Feel free to ask questions, either through Ebay or through my private email at: [email protected]
** I ship using UPS Ground, 1 to 5 business days. Cost may range up to $28.00 out to Los Angeles, for example, or as little as $15.00 to Chicago and New York. Check with me for final shipping cost once you're invoiced.
