Very Old & Possibly Moser
Cut to Clear
Ruby, Yellow Gold & Gold Gilt Rim
I have not had the opportunity to sell vintage Moser Glass but I do think this company created this wonderfully cut & colored beaker, chalice or vase
7 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" dia at the rim x 3 5.8" dia at the base
Weighs 1 1/2 pounds - Glass walls are 5/16" thick at the top
12 wonderfully etched panels of various themes (cottage, geese, flowers, rabbit, swan, bird, garden shed etc) separated by yellow or gold flashed & notched panels.
The stem has a notches cut at an angle that encircle the stem at its widest point
The base is ruby cut to clear in a stained glass pattern
The bowl of the beaker ends at the bottom row of panels and the stem and base are solid with a ground bottom
There is worn gold gilt at the lip of the top rim, The inside top inch of the bowl portion has obvious use. One chip on the rim along the gold about 3/8" long. Ground bottom has some wear marks
This would make a pretty cabinet piece for a collector and is perfectly usable.
