Copeland (Spode) Beautiful 3 Pieces - Covered Vegetable Dish with Lid and Platter or Underplate. Not necessarily a "matched" set since the underplate may have gone to a Soup Tureen at one time. But the vegetable bowl with lid and underplate go together so well, I am selling all 3 pieces together. This is a very beautiful set and it has raised in relief what appears to be grape leaves on either end of the underplate & either end of the bowl. The handle on the lid has a twisted grape stem that is raised to form the handle. The overall shape is a narrow oval and the lid sits almost recessed into the bowl. It almost appears oriental in style. It is a very finely detailed transfer ware or fine flow blue and in an almost gray/blue/black color with exceptional detail. The background is a soft cream. There is a very fine hairline on the pedestal of the bowl & has been there for years but has not changed at all.
