 Circa 1895 - Pattern 42C
Otherwise known as Empire or Siamese Necklace

A truly beautiful antique Dome Butter Dish similar to Jenkins "Stars and Stripes. Elegant ribbing with fine cut ribs topped by crosshatching and diamonds, The under plate has a double scalloped rim, center star and repeats the pattern of ribbing on the dome
Great band of gold on the cover that is 99% intact and accents on the underplate that have worn off the other edges but are present inside the scallops (30% present)
Topped by a finial that echoes the "necklace" and a fine cut ribbed finial
I did find 2 small flakes on the underside of the underplate and one small one to the inner rim of the base A very elegant piece of Early American Pressed Glass that is sure to add class and tons of sparkle to your table setting!

Overall dimensions are approximately 6 1/2" in diameter x 6" tall
