This is for a brand new, never opened, "Freedom Endures" bronzed statue of Firefighters raising the American Flag from among the ashes and rubble of the horrific 9-1-1 attack, showing that no matter what America's Spirit Remains Invincible! American Spirit prevails on September 11, 2001. After the collapse of the New York World Trade Center Towers, courageous firefighters, police officers, and rescue workers, paramedics and EMT's continued to search relentlessly for any remaining, trapped survivors. Word arrived to immediately evacuate the area when another World Trade Center, Tower #7, was threatening to collapse. As rescue workers and personnel evacuated the area, a flagpole anchored in the smoldering debris was seen as well as a large Stars and Stripes flying on a boat nearby yacht basin. Within minutes, the Stars and Stripes was being raised reflecting the always enduring American Spirit! Several days later, the flag that inspired so many vanished without a trace. However, a few days later, the mystery was solved! It was seen flying, on board the USS Theodore Roosevelt, the flagship of the US forces, around Afghanistan. This scene of the firefighters raising the Stars and Stripes has become an icon of courage, strength, and heroism of the American people.
Firefighters raise the Star Spangled Banner amidst the ruins, a sign that although their country has been profoundly wounded, AMERICA'S SPIRIT REMAINS INVINCIBLE!
This is a beautiful sculpture and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this piece benefit these charities: "The Bravest Fund" and the "North Jersey Media Group Disaster Relief Fund". Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
