Rare Vail Ski Poster
"Colorado - Ski Country USA"
Artist: Hal Shelton
Vail opened for the 1962-1963 season with 3 lifts. Hal Shelton painted this ski area map a few years later when Vail had a total of 7 lifts. Today, Vail has 32 lifts, 193 trails, and over 5,200 acres of terrain. What a conversation piece this will be in your ski chalet, cabin, or vacation home.
Here is a unique vintage ski poster. Hal Shelton is famous for his cartographic watercolors, and this collection is a nice example of the beauty of his work. His natural-color maps from the 1950's and 1960's were years ahead of their time.
This is a vintage original, NOT a modern reproduction. Authenticity is guaranteed. It is printed on high-quality, heavy poster paper. The colors are clear and bright, and the image quality is superb.
I am listing a nice collection of vintage original Colorado ski posters. Resorts include Aspen, Vail, Breckenridge, and Broadmoor.
