This listing is for a new 12" of Nu 4 U EP by Stranger Bay (GND 043)! Not sealed, never was.
STRANGER BAY 'NU 4 U EP'
Ben Cook follows up his acclaimed 'Stranger EP' from 2002 with a saucey 3-tracker just in time for Spring.
No stranger to studio collaborations, the strange one teams up here with Hogi.
'Interview Song' features outtakes from a retro- jazz interview, tastefully cut up for some much needed humour out there on the dancefloor. The funky percussion is true to form and some well positioned keys help carry the song.
'So Unnecessary' picks up the pace with beats that build and build, then rip back down, deftly supported by a growling acidic synth bass line that's sure to mash up the dance. No joke. The funk reigns supreme on this joint.
'Punky Brewster' offers something rather more subtle for the headnodding reefer brigade. Estroy's live bass dominates the track and the dub disco train rolls out for another tour of your mind.
