This listing is for a new 12" of Deep Fuzz EP by Stranger (GND 029)! Not sealed, never was.
STRANGER 'DEEP FUZZ EP'
'Stranger' is Ben Cook's latest alter ego. One of the rare few actually born & bred in San Francisco, he's probably best known for a couple of cheeky dub-disco albums as Deep Fuzz on Idjut Boys' Noid imprint.
Finding himself back in SF after a brief stint in London, he has recently hit on something of a monster with his & Corey Black's Triangle Orchestra project. Imperial Dub have showcased a couple of their releases and there promises to be more.
Grayhound is thus chuffed to have the strange one on board with these three tracks, lovingly crafted in the Bay Area and London.
'Figures On A Wall' was produced in conjunction with UK reefer heads Akwaaba. Tasty disco obscurities given the echo chamber teatment to great effect.
'In A Dark Room' isn't half as scary as the title would have us believe. Deep mid tempo groover with local heroes Sen-Sei & David Coleman of SF all up in the mix. Check the keys.
'Mysteries Mixer' tosses hitherto little known disco gems into the blender and serves 'em up shaken not stirred. This is the Triangle Orchestra crew at work.
