The Maxfli Tour Fire is designed as a distance ball with a soft feel. These balls are unique in the material used for the mantle of the three part construction. Called the HPF 1000 SpeedMantle, it transfers energy to the core to increase the COR. The higher the COR, the faster the ball travels, and the Maxfli Tour Fire feels like a high speed bullet off driver shots. These balls have performed up to seven percent faster in testing while being twenty four percent softer than competitive balls.

Using one of the thinnest covers in the industry, the Surlyn cover more efficiently transfers energy to the mantle and core of the ball. The 342 dimples on the Maxfli Tour Fire help to reduce drag and increase lift as the ball speeds through the air, but speed is not everything in a game.
