Up for grabs is an authentic Medium Pan (10.5" wide x 13" long) BATES LEATHER SEAT in great condition with tons of riding time left on it!  Harder to find and more desirable than the Small pan Bates seats and this one has great patina and the BATES stamp in the top leather!

As mentioned above this seat has the BATES name stamped into the top leather (see photo #2) and also still has the shadow/outline of the Bates sticker label visibile on the bottom (see photos 8, 9) and is the better looking factory CAD plated pan!     

With too may fakes and too many questionable "authentic" Bates seats out there I have gone over this one from every aspect and can say without a doubt it is 100% authentic.  Don't just hope you're getting the real deal, if your looking for a Bates and paying for a Bates buy with confidence that you're getting a genuine Bates!

 

CONDITION:

Please take a careful look at all of the pictures and make your own final determination on the condition, I have taken the time to take as many detailed pictures as possible so buyer knows exactly what they are getting. 

-Leather cover is in great condition for its age with great wear marks and patina to the leather and still has many more years of ride time.  Leather is still very soft and just has top layer patina cracking/wear on the top (leather is still very strong).  There is 1 minor tear on the side (see photos 5, 6) and the bottom has a typical tear at the front from wear around where the leather wraps over the pan (see photo 10).

-Seat pan is in excellent solid shape with only very minor surface rust discoloration on the pan.  Stock bates springs are still mounted to the rear bolts and are solid.  The front rear mounting bolt has been removed and has a pivot mount bracket attached to just the front mounting bolt (see photo 10).
