JULY 1999 ISSUE OF JFK, JR.'s "GEORGE" MAGAZINE
In 1995, the enterprising John F. Kennedy, Jr. founded GEORGE, a glossy politics-as-lifestyle monthly which sometimes took editorial aim even at members of his own family.
He controlled 1 percent of the company's shares and served as President and Editor-in-Chief.
The July 1999 issue featuring a cover and exclusive on the young and beautiful SALMA HAYEK
hit the newstands just days before the untimely and tragic death of Kennedy.
After Kennedy's death, the magazine was bought out by Hachette Filipacchi Magazines his partners in George and continued for over a year.
With falling advertising sales, the magazine folded in early 2001.
A unique find for the collector of Kennedy memorabilia.
