Wataridori itsu mata kaeru - This is the third Wataridori Film in a series that made Akiri Kobayashi one of Nikkatsu's most popular and prevalent stars in his role as Shinji Taki, the guitar-strumming ex-cop with the blue jean jacket, who wanders across Hokkaido, righting wrongs and leaving a trail of broken hearts behind him.

The Young Rambler, Shinji Taki arrives on the island of Sado, with guitar strapped to his back and a keen eye for beauty he soon meets a young woman named Noriko Takami. Following close behind him is the Yakuza known as ‘Tetsu the Gunman’ who seeks to avenge his younger brothers death by an assailant he believes to be Shinji.

Island Boss Sakakibara and his henchmen have taken control of the Takami family’s mining operations with disastrous consequences and Shinji offers to help the family against these ruthless thugs. Shinji learns of the gangs hidden agenda to recover stolen WWII loot from an abandoned mine and Boss Sakakibara decides to hire the assassin Killer Joe to rid himself of this trouble maker.

Before long Tetsu and Shinji must join forces in an attempt to rescue the Takami family business and defeat Boss Sakakibara and his evil plans.......
