Sasaki Kojiro - A young Samurai, Sasaki Kojiro, desires to make a name for himself by becoming Japan's most renowned swordsman.
Deserting his clan to seek the glory he desires he takes his best friends fiancée along for the ride, this in turn disgraces the clan. Kojiro's brother takes this action to heart and seeks retribution.
Meanwhile Kojiro is traveling the country challenging one dojo after another and making a name for himself and his swallow tail sword technique. But one obstacle remains in his path, a swordsman named Miyamoto Musashi.
A date and place is then set for the famous duel between Kojiro and Musashi to determine who is the greatest swordsman in Japan.
