Chiyari Muso - A great version of
the Chushingura story, by-passing most of the original story line concerning
Lord Ako and Lord Kira it instead concentrates on the aftermath.
While waiting for the opportunity to avenge his late master's
death, the inept Ako Roshi Samurai Sugino (Okawa Hashizo) meets a hard drinking
but superbly skilled spear fighter Tawaraboshi Genban (Kataoka Chiezo) who
trains him on mastering the art of spear fighting in preparation for the day of
revenge.
