Description:

Otoko wa tsurai yo: Torajiro renaijuku - It became a tradition to open every Tora-san movie with a pre-credits dream sequence, and this film opens with an especially funny one, a spoof of The Ballad of Narayama.

On the Goto Islands, Tora-san rescues an old lady and befriends her. She then dies all of a sudden and at her Christian funeral he meets the old woman's granddaughter, who lives alone in Tokyo. Back in Shibamata, Tora-san looks her up, and discovers that a young man, who's studying to be a lawyer, secretly has a crush on her. But the young man is too shy to express his love, so to help this pair of lovebirds, Tora-san acts as a go-between by matching her up with the young man.
