Teruo Ishii's Chitai Series 3 - YELLOW LINE (1960) - REMASTERED
Price:  $12.99
Description:
Osen chitai - A criminal drama told in a semi-documentary fashion, this is the third entry in Teruo Ishii's pulpy Chitai series. The main action unfolds in the “Kasbah” section of Kobe, its narrow, twisty alleys filled with foreigners, criminals and other marginal types.
A hit man is betrayed by his employer to the police. At Tokyo Station he grabs a woman on her way to work and hops a train to Kobe. Soon after her reporter boyfriend finds one of her shoes, discarded on the train platform. Fearing that she may have been abducted by the 'Yellow Line', a Kobe-based prostitution ring that specializes in selling Japanese women, he hurries to the port city on Japan’s Inland Sea.
Once in Kobe the woman scrawls a cry for help on a 100 yen note and slips it to a shoe store employee - but no one notices it until a young office worker happens to get it in her change. But then she herself is kidnapped by two foreign flesh peddlers. Is all lost?
