Homeless people often go without the basic necessities most of us take for granted. In the struggle to find food and a safe place to sleep, homeless people often find it difficult to get basic items such as soap, shampoo, deodorant and toothbrushes. Without such supplies, simple personal care such as brushing their teeth or washing their hands can be a challenge. Contrary to popular belief, many homeless people do care whether they’re dirty and smell bad. Access to basic personal supplies often gives a homeless person a greater sense of self and a brighter outlook on life.
