Dirty tape heads can cause poor sound
recording and reproduction. And dirty pinch rollers can
result in uneven tape speeds and broken or cause pre-mature tape wear.

Directions:With
a new clean q-tip apply a liberal amount of cleaner to the rubber on
the pinch roller. Let sit for a few minutes like 3-5 minutes before
using your q-tip to scrub the rubber. Some like to slowly spin the
roller with their hand while cleaning with the q-tip. Repeat if
necessary and with warm water dampen a clean soft cloth and clean any
cleaner on top of the rubber so as to keep the tape and tape path from
getting any cleaner on them. Also repeat if needed. Now your pinch
rollers should have a nice dry velvety touch ready for use.
