Otodus Obliquus

Otodus Obliquus is an ancient member of the Mackerel Shark family. It is considered to be the great-great grandfather of the Megalodon Shark. Otodus lived around 50 -55 million years ago, during the early Eocene Epoche. Its teeth are recognized through its noticibly large triangular crown, and its side cusps. The teeth were found in a phosphate mine in Morocco, North Africa. Most specimens of this shark have been destroyed due to the crude manner as to which they were collected. Only a few of the teeth are in prestine condition and our collection is in fact among those few.
