30 OZ KERR ELECTROMELT GRAPHITE CRUCIBLE
This lathe machined graphite crucible, was designed specifically for Kerr Electromelts (Kerr part number 29-478). Made of high grade fine grain graphite to provide optimum performance and durability. Graphite provides maximum resistance to oxidation while metal is being melted. To avoid contamination use separate crucible for each metal.

- Capacity 30 Troy Ounces or 1 Kg.
- Inside Dimensions: 1-1/4" Diameter x 3-1/2" Deep
- Outside Dimensions: 1-1/2" Diameter x 4-3/4" Long
- Lip: 2-1/4" Diameter x 7/8" High
The bottom of the crucible is equipped with 1/2" opening to fit thermocouple for precise themperature mesurement. This assures that moltet metal is not over or undercooked and extends longevitiy of the heating element. The crucible is equipped with pouring spout, which allows molten metal to be poured out of the crucible without removing the crucible from electromelt thus shortening transition period and assuring more uniform consistency of the molten metal prior to soilidification
