This is a lot of 3 vintage 1940 - 50's posters. They are comical posters depicting the different roles of wives. I found these at an estate in a box of vintage cards (some i have listed0. The elderly woman in around her late 70's early 80's remembered finding these in her husbands office many years ago. She confiscated them, and didn't remember even having them until we were sitting going through the box. The posters are each about 10 3/4" tall, and 7 1/2" wide. The first poster depicts The "Clock Watcher, the caption at the bottom reads You watch the clock the whole day long At 5:00 pm. Your Overjoyed. Just watch how little time it takes Before you join the UNEMPLOYED!!. The next depicts The "Modern Wife" with the caption No wonder your hubby's not poisoned as yet, and still isn't dead on his feet! You slop The Whole House with Your Cooking my pet, So..There Ain't A thing Left to eat!!The last poster depicts the "Office Wife" with the caption To Men you're like a Month Of May A Warm And Lovely Vamp....but To Us Gals you're like A March...In Other Words ...A Tramp!! These are all done on paper with some slight yellowing. They are very colorful, and would make a nice addition to a collection. There are some wrinkles in the paper, but these would still frame very nicely. Please see pictures as an addition to description.
