Another Treasure from Whistlinpoint!

 This auction is for a
TAYLOR 307-GB BIG BABY ( 2002)
EC-, 15/16 D-size, 15" lower bout, 3-1/4" to 4" body depth, natural satin finish, solid spruce top, mahogany sides and arched back, bolt-on mahogany neck, 20-fret ebony fingerboard with dot dot inlays, 1-11/16" nut width, 25-1/2" scale, ebony bridge, chrome tuners, tortoise plastic pickguard, nice travel guitar, with tan Taylor gigbag and stand.  The gigbag is selling for over $60 (used) and the stand would cost another $10 (used).  The guitar is in excellent* condition with some short scratches on the facade, apparently caused by use.  The case is in like-new* condition as is the stand.

I don't play the guitar, so when I acquired this Big Baby I did quite a bit of research to find out just what I had.  If you don't know about this model, I encourage you to research it yourself.  You will come across testimonial after testimonial praising the workmanship, looks, and sound of this guitar.  I've cut and pasted several forum reviews that are typical of what I found.
Thanks for checking out the listing.

"As I hinted at in the summary, I was blown away by the playability of this guitar from the moment I picked it up. Quite simply it has the best neck Ive ever played on an accoustic and compares favourably with most electrics for ease of fretting . . .

"Of all of my guitars it is the one that I have at the side of my chair most of the time. This is partly down to the fact that it is tough, allready a bit bruised and therfore not so precious as the shiny expensive things on stands and above all light weight and comfortable. The real reason is cause it plays so well and so effortlessly, stays in tune, sounds (to my ears) great and is just right, like an old pair of Levis."

"The Big Baby cannot be compared. It is what it is. Appreciate it for that. Maybe I got lucky, but mine just sings. The frets were great from the factory. The action was just the way I prefer, low but still able to strum percussively without buzzing. I didn't even notice the screw heads that hold the neck to the body until a couple weeks after I bought it. I used to wonder if they were enough, but its been six years now and its perfect still. The matte finish is thin and has worn to a shiny surface on the back of the neck and top of the belly where my arm rests.
The important things for any acoustic guitar were not left out when the design decisions were made. Really good quality, high ring count, solid Sitka spruce sound board. I haven't seen the bracing, but it must accommodate the reduced size of the guitar as the tonal range is broad and dynamic. The neck is mahogany; fully and adjustably trussed. The plywood sides and back along with pretty decent tuners make for a very stable guitar that stays in tune and holds up well to travel. This guitar is light. I play it much more than any of my others--so much so that ANY of the others seem heavy to me now."

"I think about it this way. If I were to try to build this guitar, what would it cost? I am not sure I could get all the materials to match for much less than the cost of the Taylor. How many times would I have to build it to get it right? Even then there are good ones and ok ones and great ones. I got a great one. Lucky me. "

"It sounds so rich. When I play any other guitar, I am disappointed. This does include some very special old Martins, a 1940s Gretsch jazz guitar, and ovation, yamaha.... THe natural wood finish lets the wood ring. There are layers of sound that remind me of the sound of a brook. Overtones are balanced. Sound is very live and beautiful. When seasoned performers pick up my guitar, they don't want to put it down."
