This is one of a series of my Plein Aire paintings of various locations in California. There are many beautiful sights to inspire a painter: the powerful Pacific Ocean, the river rapids and glass-calm lakes, the rolling foothills and majestic Sierra Nevada mountains, and the strangely serene deserts.
