c1980s Japanese Fukagawa Porcelain Tea Set NEW in Wooden Box
Arita Ware
The Fukagawa company
has served as purveyor for the Japanese Imperial Household since 1910 and only
produces white true high temperature porcelain. They are the world famous manufacturer
of Arita ware since the early 1800s.
This tea set was
purchased in the 1980s in Tokyo at their shop near the Imperial Palace. In
addition to the teapot with extra wicker handle, this set originally came with
5 cups and lids. I have an extra cup and lid that was purchased at the same
time. I also have 6 wooden saucers.
Everything is in
perfect, unused condition!
