Antique Cast Iron Cooking Kettle which has a Wire Handle
Measures-11" wide and 8 3/4" high
There are no cracks or breaks on the pot. Has a wire handle for handling. Both ears are in great shape on the side of the pot. Then on the lower half of the pot there is another small ear with a S hook for hanging.
It does show rust on the outside and around the lip,.It has (3) legs that it rest on,with no drain holes on the bottom. As with all antiques I do not clean I leave that up to the buyer. It shows black paint around the lip and around the outside of the pot as in the picture.Inside the pot shows some rusting, also it appears to have been used for planter with hard dirt on the inside, that the buyer can remove.
This pot is in very good shape for its age as well as the handle but remember it will need a nice cleaning by the buyer.I do not know the maker because of the rust inside bottom and outside bottom, but I think when it it is cleaned possibly a identification mark may show up.
This pot would make a fantastic addition to your collection and would display well in your country home, cottage or that out of the way place. As of late designer magazines have been displaying these pots in there displays.
Thank you for looking.
