Antique Ornate Eye-Catching Wooden Frame-Tinted Print-1896

This is excellent beautiful antique frame from the late 1800's. It is made of wood in reeded design,with cream color paint,with gold gesso seperating the wood around the inner and outer frame.Gesso around the glass.Picture set in but not in a deep format.Frame is very old and the gesso is ornate, and could be used for any favorite picture instead of the print that is in place,or a mirror could be put in place instead of the print.Whatever you choose will look great.

Glass is clear,no cracks,or chips,There are no chips or cracks in the gesso,and also if you do not like the cream color you can paint it the color of your choice.

The tinted print is in excellent condition.

The frame is well constructed,some minor rubbing to the cream color paint,has all the natural patena for its age.You can not today buy a frame of this stature and construction for the price that it is being offered.

Obtained at an Estate Sale in Saratoga NY as is, as obtained, and these old frames with the unique look and design are very sought after since being featured in many decorating magazines of late. Would look beautiful in any room in your home bed or breakfast,Inn,Shop, Gallery. Quite Heavy. Wired and ready to hang with its original hardware.
