Up for auction we have a fantastic
Set of Two
1800's Antique STONEWARE Ink Wells
One Bottle has a paper lable showing it's from
P & J ARNOLD, London and has no chips or cracks, but the lable is torn in places
The other is unmarked and has some chips, but no cracks,
all of which are indicated in the photographs
The glaze on each bottle is quite different. Both are rich and beautiful with the labled one being more of a yellow ochre color while the unmarked bottle is closer to a golden brown
They are both about the same size measuring about
2 1/16 inches high x 1 15/16 wide
These would make a very nice gift for someone who collects ink wells or early stoneware pottery; or, a very nice addition to your own collection of authentic early stoneware
