Chippendale Style Candlestick 6.25" 1 lb

This is a very unusually heavy, rare and early unmarked candlestick in Chippendale style and form

It is made from a silver base metal with a gold or bronze guilding which is very worn off from handling and use

The bottom has a soldered-on plate that covers the hollow casting

We do not know the true age, but do know that it is very old. There is one slight nick on a petal at the top edge of the candlestick, but it is barely noticeable.
