Large Heavy Brass Bell

Measurements are:

6.5" Tall x 4.75" Wide

Weight is:

2 lbs 7 Oz

Has a nice patina and looks to have some lettering that we cannot decipher around the dip in the bell before the bottom edge.

Has a button or knob hole at the top of the very well worn leather where it was fastened to something else. The round screw that fastens the clacker chain to the inside of the bell is rusty and takes a flat head screw driver.

This is a Very Handsome, Useful & Decorative Bell that is is very loud when rung!

We do not know its age or its origin.
